Can existing manual rollers be converted to electric?
It is difficult to convert existing manual rollers to electric because the shaft and mounting brackets are different.
What does it take to place an electric roller in a space?
There needs to be a power supply on either the left or right side of the opening to connect the motor. A power supply can power many cordless motors, which is not possible with wired motors, which are button operated. If no standby power is available, a cord, which will still be visible, can be plugged into the nearest outlet.
How much do automatic rollers cost?
Installation costs vary depending on the number of windows they cover. For example, a 36" x 48" motorized automatic roller blind can cost from €300 to €600.

Can Alexa control Somfy blinds?
Any RTS product with Somfy technology, such as curtains, shades, awnings connected to a Somfy myLink can be controlled using Alexa voice commands.
How many electric rollers can we control with one remote?
With RTS technology remotes, there is no limitation because the remote has no memory. The limitation is in the motor or receiver that have memory. The usual channel limit is 12,but may vary from product to product. For example, if a 4-channel motor has the same motor stored on channel 1 and the group channel, then 2 channels of the 12 available are reserved
In io remotes, communication is either one-way or two-way. The io receivers and motors have no limitation on bidirectional remote controls (Nina, Tahoma, Connexoon) and can be controlled by a very large number of bidirectional remote controls.
The Situo io & Smoove io remotes are one-way communication and the reason for this limitation is the same as the RTS controllers, except that in this case the usual number of memory channels of the io tubular motors is 9. The Nina io has memory and is bidirectional communication and can store up to 60 products (cumulative motors and receivers)
Can we use a remote control to control the movement of different types of shade, such as awnings, roller blinds or electric curtains?
Yes, we can manage all types of shading with one remote control, as long as the motors are from the same company, e.g. Somfy
